Projects

Some work doesn't end on this website. It ends in a concert hall, or on a wall.

For the concert in November I am filming in several valleys of East Tyrol, from the ground and from the air, laid onto the music movement by movement. On the night itself I run the playback.

Everything here has a date and a place. What is coming, to go to; what has been, to look up.

Pastorale — A Concert in Moving Images

When music turns into pictures

Visual accompaniment — photo and video concept

The Lienz Symphony Orchestra plays Beethoven's Sixth, the Pastoral, preceded by Smetana's “From Bohemia's Woods and Fields”. A picture track from East Tyrol runs alongside it: drone and ground footage from the valleys, laid onto the music movement by movement. Gerald Mair conducts. Saturday 21 November at 7.30 pm and Sunday 22 November at 6 pm, Stadtsaal Lienz. Half an hour before each concert, Gerald Mair and I give a short introduction.
