Landscape

Most of these were made in the half hour when the light is still deciding what kind of day it will be.

Alpine landscape from East Tyrol, the Dolomites and the valleys in between: the Venediger group in autumn, larches after a cold night, the Tre Cime in winter, Ra Gusela in the last light. A few come from further off — the Danube at first light, an evening near Grado.

The same ridgeline is a different photograph in March than it is in October, and the weather you want rarely turns up on the first attempt. So I go early, I go late, and I go back.
